Light a Candle with Children 2021 - Daily Reflections
September 20 - October 17th

Light a Candle WITH Children is a daily devotion that invites congregations to join in prayer and devotions with our children. The vigil begins four weeks before the National Observance of Children’s Sabbath sponsored by the Children’s Defense Fund, Washington, DC. Thousands of congregations from multiple faith groups unite during Children’s Sabbath weekend to simultaneously witness for children through prayer, education, and worship.

This years theme is:  Where does it Hurt? Listening to Heal our Children? Listening through our foundational stories is one way to listen to our children.  Children Worship & Wonder provides a way of safety listening, talking and hearing God.

YOUTH and CAMP UPDATES

Christmas Mission Project (More details)

Looking for an easy, yet very meaningful hands-on mission project for your children, youth or family to do during this pandemic time of all-too-much time at home or in “virtual reality”?

This project is simple but very meaningful because it will provide some 5000 asylum seekers (many of whom are children) in detainment at Eloy Detention Center in Eloy, Arizona with the only Christmas present they are going to receive.
